Bangalore unit of CPI(ML) (Liberation) and AICCTU organised a Public Hall Meeting on 28 July 2014 in memory of the great revolutionary, comrade Charu Mazumdar. The speakers spoke on the "Corporate, Communal Fascism and the Role of the Left".
Dr. Venkataramaiah Lakshminarayana, Professor Lakshminarayana, AICCTU State Organising Secretary Clifton addressed the gathering while Com. Shankar, Central Committee Member of CPIML Liberation presided the meet and com. Bharadwaj, Karnataka State Secretary of the party introduced the agenda. Com. Appanna, SLTM welcomed the gathering and G.Mohankumar delivered vote of thanks while Puttegowda compered the meeting.
Worker activists from various public and private sector companies (national and multinational) and government departments participated in the programme with an enthusiasm. It was not about wages or any other economic demands, still, workers participated in good numbers, and discussed about the emancipation of working class and the downtrodden in the society.
Similar Programmes were held at Harapanahalli and Gangavati as well.
